2. Overview
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to operate this website and to handle your inquiries. This website sets no cookies and does not embed any third-party tracking, advertising or social media services.
3. Hosting and server log files (Vercel)
Our website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA) ("Vercel"). When you access the website, Vercel automatically processes the following data in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of the request
- Page or file accessed
- Amount of data transferred and status code
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
Purpose and legal basis: secure, stable and performant delivery of the website and defence against attacks; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is not merged with other data sources.
Retention: Vercel keeps the log files only for a short, technically required period and then deletes them automatically. We do not export or store these log files ourselves.
Processor and third-country transfer: We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel (Data Processing Addendum, https://vercel.com/legal/dpa). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where Vercel is certified, on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
4. Audience measurement (Vercel Web Analytics)
We use Vercel Web Analytics for statistical evaluation of page views. The service works without cookies and without storing information on your device. Visitors are distinguished by a hash derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours; IP addresses are not stored. Only aggregated data such as page, referrer, country, browser, operating system and device type is recorded.
Purpose and legal basis: improving the content and technology of the website based on anonymised statistics; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Processor and third-country transfer as described in section 3.
6. Contact form, email and delivery via Resend
If you contact us via the booking form or by email, we process your details to handle the inquiry and any follow-up questions. The form collects the following data:
- First and last name
- Company
- Email address
- Name, date and type of the event
- Your additional information
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as your inquiry serves to initiate a contract; for other inquiries Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (interest in answering inquiries).
Required information: Providing your data is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement. Without the fields marked as required, however, we cannot process your inquiry.
Email delivery provider: For the technical delivery of form emails we use Resend, Inc. (USA). Resend processes the form data on our behalf solely for delivery (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; interest in reliable, secure email delivery). A data processing agreement is in place (https://resend.com/legal/dpa); the third-country transfer is based on Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Retention: We delete your inquiry once it has been fully handled and no follow-up questions are expected, at the latest 12 months after the last communication. If an engagement results, we retain business correspondence in line with statutory retention periods (6 years under § 257 HGB, 8 or 10 years for accounting-relevant records under § 147 AO). Resend stores sent emails only as long as necessary for delivery and proof of delivery.
7. Fonts
The fonts "Geist" and "Geist Mono" are hosted locally on our server. No connection to third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts) is made when you visit the website.
8. No automated decision-making
There is no automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
9. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have the right at any time to:
- access your stored data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), e.g. the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg
Simply contact kontakt@sascha-sambale.de.
10. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – this concerns hosting and log files (section 3), audience measurement (section 4) and email delivery (section 6) – you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process your data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. An informal objection to kontakt@sascha-sambale.de is sufficient.
11. Changes
We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
